The Food Box Giveaway

This program began in September 2021 in the “Spirit of Service, not self.” Evey month, typically on the last Sunday, we receive a delivery truck fill of everything from eggs, milk and cheese to vegetables, meat, flowers and even flu test kits during the pandemic. On an average, our Post hands out 350-400 individual food boxes to the local community for those in need.

This program has grown since its inception. It has become a much needed staple in so many people’s lives and we are grateful to be able to provide this assistance.

1. Do you have to be a vet?

• You do not have to be a Veteran to receive a food box; this program is available to all those in need.

2. How do i qualify?

• There are no requirements and the only question asked is how many in your family.
• One box per family please-pick up for more than one family is ok.

3. Do i get to choose what is in my box?

• No, unfortunately we do not always know what will be coming in the truck each month and cannot take “orders.”
